The entire world is saddened by the tragic events at the movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of the families affected by this senseless shooting.

All communities around the globe are impacted by events such as this as our hearts go out to everyone. I am pleased that Colorado PTA is offering resources to help. They are making their resources from National PTA available to everyone to assist parents, families, schools, and PTAs when speaking with their children about this tragedy. One specific resource is called “Discussing Hate and Violence with Your Child.” This and several other resources on violence are accessible and can be downloaded for free at PTA.org.
